Assistant Site Accountant

ROLE OVERVIEW

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To contribute to month end accruals and prepayments in production and reconciliation of month end purchase ledger information.
• Maintain the Purchase Ledger database and Sage entry on a daily basis.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain the Sales Ledger function on a daily basis.
• Process sales invoices and upload onto Sage.
• Process sales receipts and monitor debtors. Chase outstanding accounts and resolve discrepancies with the sales department.
• Preparation of sales and debtors reports when required.
• Proof of Deliveries to be processed and uploaded onto bespoke system.
• Support month end closing process.
• Prepare monthly reporting package.
• Contribute to monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Help developing controlling tools to assess production performance and sales orders margins.
• Respond to controlling queries.
• Improve and automise controlling reports.
• Support year end closing process.
• Support daily/weekly global flex and corporate reporting.
• Work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and sharing information.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Degree in accounting or business administration or AAT qualified
• Relevant experience in finance, accounting or cost controlling
• Proficient in the use of MS Excel
• Able to work to deadlines
• Accurate
• Motivated self-starter
• Courteous
• Approachable and helpful
• Accounts computer system experience
