Overview

To achieve KPIs and quality levels set by the Business.

Ensure day to day running of print press is fully utilised and optimised whilst working directly with the printer. Ensure Safety is adhered to at all times. Make sure waste is reduced where possible, make ready times are efficient at all times. Cover Machine for breaks as required.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and control print press ancillary support areas
Ensure the printer is fully supported in all areas to achieve machine KPIs
Monitor print press when printer is away from the machine
Ensure all standard operating procedures are adhered to (e.g. PPE, health and safety, hygiene, quality)
Complete all related paperwork and input data onto Prism accurately to ensure print quality checks can be carried out, as per training given
Follow SOPs at all times ensuring that defective quality material does not reach the customer
Working with and contributing to Continuous improvement activity across site
Provide holiday cover in line with production agreement, and provide sickness cover where possible
Ensure effective shift handover is carried out
Maintain good housekeeping including 5s auditing

Person Specification

Work Safely at all times
Good attendance and timekeeping
Knowledge of flexographic printing process on Comexi Machines
Ability to problem solve
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Knowledge of Prism
Good organisational and self-motivational skills
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
